Roxane Ann Bourdeau
Feb. 17, 1965 – Feb. 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roxane Ann Bourdeau of Rocky Mountain House, who passed away peacefully at the Rocky Mountain House Hospital on Feb. 7, 2025, at the age of 59.

Roxane was born on Feb. 17, 1965, in Cornwall, Ont., to Claude and Irene Bourdeau. The eldest of three children, she carried a natural warmth and kindness that she shared with everyone she met.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Brianne Ellie Melvin, and her fiancé, Bob Spooner; her mother, Irene Bourdeau; her sister,

Christine Jeaurond, and brother-in-law, Julien Jeaurond; as well as her nieces, Jocelyne and Claudine Jeaurond. She was predeceased by her father, Claude Bourdeau, and her brother, Eric Bourdeau.

Roxane was a pillar of her community, dedicating her life to working with children at École Rocky Elementary and West Central High School. She was also an active leader in the local gymnastics, kayaking and canoe clubs, always fostering a sense of teamwork, adventure and joy.

Patient, genuine and endlessly encouraging, Roxane had a gift for bringing out the best in others. She found joy in gardening and painting, using her creativity to bring people together and brighten the lives of those around her.
Though she fought cancer with incredible strength, determination and resilience, Roxane’s greatest legacy is the love and inspiration she leaves behind.

A funeral service will be held on Feb. 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. The service can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/live/ lOq3ugDUuLI.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
