Paulette Marie Foster passed away Nov. 30, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born Oct. 28, 1955, in Edmonton, Alta., to Paul and Jeanie Belanger. She would be the oldest of four children. In the following years she was raised in Plamondon, Brooks, and Sylvan Lake, Alta.

Paulette married William Foster in the summer of 1973 in Sylvan Lake, Alta. After residing a year in Sylvan Lake, they moved to the farm outside of Rocky Mountain House where they lived and raised their four children. In 2016 they retired and moved into the town of Rocky Mountain House. This past summer, Bill and Paulette celebrated 50 years of marriage. A great milestone.

Paulette is survived by her husband William Foster and her mother Jeanie Belanger; her children: Sara Larson (Don), Lisa Clark (Nathan), Leona Korth (Robert) and David Foster (Becca). Paulette is predeceased by her father Paul Belanger. Paulette has two brothers and a sister who survived her: Douglas Belanger (Tracy), Bruce Belanger (Naomi), and Pamela Davey (Richard). Paulette took great pride and enjoyed nurturing all 15 of her grandchildren. She would rejoice in their triumphs and comforted them in their struggles.

The highlight of this past summer for Paulette was taking part in her eldest grandson’s wedding and gaining a granddaughter-in-law.

Paulette was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 40 years where she made many friends and long-lasting relationships. She also served as custodian for over 10 years. Paulette also served as an advocate for the Rocky Victim Services for several years and was trained and acted as doula in the Rocky area.

A service will be held in remembrance of Paulette on Friday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 6211 - 60 St., Rocky Mountain House, Alta. A light lunch will follow.
