Frank Gurnick

Frank passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2025, at the age of 94 years old.

Frank was born in Lamont, Alta., on Aug. 24, 1930, to Katie and Felix Gurnick. Frank was the oldest of eight children.

Frank had a strong personality; you could not convince him to do anything that he did not want to do. That vibrant characteristic stayed with him right up until the end.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Katie and Felix; his sister Helen Martin; brothers: Michael, John, Luke, Adolph, Albert and Edward; his great-nephew Greg Brown; brother-in-law Robert Martin; and sister-in-law Mary Gurnick.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Rocky Mountain House, on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 9 a.m., with Fr. Dan Gurnick OFM officiating. Lunch will be served afterwards, and the family would ask that you plan to attend this luncheon as Frank “loved a good luncheon.”
