Gregory Murray Beisal
1957 – 2020

The Lord took our husband, father, grandfather and brother home on Oct. 7, 2020, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 62 years. Greg was born Dec. 20, 1957, in Edmonton, Alta., but was raised in the small town of Bentley. He met his wife-to-be, Joan, in Rimbey in 1985. This is also where he fell in love with his first son Clint. They moved to Rocky Mountain House in 1989 and this is where their son Riley was born in 1990, completing the family.
Greg worked for the M.D. of Clearwater for eight years, before he and Joan moved on to owning their own business. They worked many years to grow and expand JAG & Sons Consulting to include both water well testing and road maintenance. Greg lived for family poker nights and camping. Also, an avid Oilers fan, he spent countless hours enjoying his favourite team with a cold Pilsner.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of thirty-one years, Joan Beisal; his two sons: Clint (Glenda) Beisal and Riley (Shandee) Beisal; grandson Camden Beisal; parents Ethel and Murray Beisal; siblings: Billy (Kathy) Beisal, Debbie-Ann (Allan) Anderson, Shannon (Garth) Butcher, Debbie-Sue Beisal, Jody (Gordon) Little, Jennifer (Shannon) Neitz, and Lana (John Fournier) Beisal. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Betty Taylor, brother-in-law Jack (Shauna) Taylor, and sister-in-law Joyce Johnston. Although there are too many nieces and nephews to list, they were all equally loved by Greg.
Greg was predeceased by his father-in-law John Taylor; sisters-in-law: Lila (Roy) Johnston, Linda (Hal) Campbell, Jeanie (Terry) Barr; brother-in-law Bill Taylor; and nephew Michiel Butcher.
A funeral service for Greg will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home, 4804 - 48 St., Rocky Mountain House. Due to COVID restrictions, seating will be limited to 95 people and masks will be required. A private burial will be held after.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Greg’s name may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice Society, which allowed the family to be by his side until the very end.
