Petronella “Nellie” Croy
April 23, 1939 – Nov. 26, 2018

Petronella (Nellie) Croy, 79, of Rocky Mountain House, Alta., died peacefully in her sleep on Nov. 26, 2018, at the Rocky Hospital in Rocky Mountain House. Born April 23, 1939, in Hillegersberg (Rotterdam), Holland.
Nellie is predeceased by her parents: Pietronella (nee Oosthoek) and Arie Cornelis Valstar of Rocky Mountain House, Alta., and her late husband of 26 years Robert (Bob) Croy and her late husband of 25 years Robert (Bob) Clary.
Nellie worked in the Rocky Mountain House Hospital for many years. She joined with her husband Bob Croy, working for the forestry, then owning their sawmill and finally a winter up north on their trapline. Bob passed away in 1985. Nellie married Bob Clary in 1993, and joined him in the managing of their trucking business until his passing in 2018.
Through her life she enjoyed gardening, camping, riding her horse, visiting friends and knitting in her spare time. Nellie will be sadly missed by not only her immediate family, sisters and brothers, but her extended families of which there are too many to list.
Survivors include her son Rob (Lynne) Croy of Rocky Mountain House, Alta.; daughters: Anita Kramer of Innisfail, Alta., Renee Croy of Rocky Mountain House, Alta., Jacqueline (Greg) Brooks of Vernon, B.C., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known as Nana to many.
Funeral will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Lou Soppit Community Centre, Rocky Mountain House, Alta., with a tea to follow service in same place.
