Francis (Frank) Raymond Klein
Oct. 8 1941 — Oct. 10, 2019

Francis (Frank) Raymond Klein of Rocky Mountain House passed away at the Rocky Mountain House Health Care Centre on Oct. 10, 2019, at the age of 78 years.
Frank was born at the Macklin, Sask., hospital on Oct. 8, 1941. The family lived in the Salvador area and Luseland in Saskatchewan.
Later Frank moved to Edmonton, Alta., where he met his future wife Kay Turton while working at Hudson Bay Wholesale. They were married Aug. 2, 1969. In 1974, he was transferred to Calgary as branch manager for Hudson Bay Vending. While in Calgary, Frank enjoyed motorbike riding and camping in the west country. He had a passion for carpentry and built our holiday trailer. In 1980, the family moved north of Rocky Mountain House where he constructed the farm while working for Graham and Hansen Construction Company. Later he started his own construction company and while running it he also did dairy farming for a number of years. Frank and the family lived on the farm until he was in a vehicle crash on Oct. 28, 1998, that left him with a frontal lobe brain injury. Later they moved into the Town of Rocky Mountain House where they resided for 10 years. Then moved back to the country until Feb. 10, 2019, when Frank moved to the Clearwater Centre.
Frank was a great Oilers hockey fan who loved watching many games plus attending some. Over the years Frank had become a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree member.
Frank leaves to mourn his passing with great sadness his wife of 50 years, Kay; his children: Christina (Jeff) Barrett of St. Albert, Geoffrey (Shannon) Klein of RMH, Darcy (Tammy) Klein of RMH, and Todd (Stefania) Klein of Calgary; his brothers and sisters: Arnold (Annette) Klein of Unity, Sask., Hubert (Charlotte) Klein of Edmonton, Alta., Marlene (Jack) Dodman of Shields, Sask., Leo (Linda) Klein of Burstall, Sask. and Diane (Al) Allenby of Grande Cache, Alta.; 10 grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Frank was predeceased by his mother Rosina (Rose) and father Edward Klein, one brother Dwayne and two nephews.
A memorial service for Frank will be held at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at 2 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
