Reginald Joseph Kyncl
1942 – 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Reg Kyncl announces his passing. He passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side.
Reg will always be lovingly remembered by his precious wife of 57 years, Sherrie, and their children Bonnie (Ken), Carol (Duane) and Dan (Rhonda). Reg will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren: Jana (Rob), Jim (Victoria), Heather, Jesse (Carole), Morgan and Scott. His legacy will also live on in his great-grandchildren whom he loved so dearly: Portia, Ryder, Vanor, Alora, Jasper and Rayna.
Born in April of 1942, Reg grew up in the Red Deer Valley area, southwest of Sundre, with his mother and father Joe and Jean Kyncl, four brothers: Dennis, Roger, Stan, David, and sister Joan.
Reg’s pleasures included spending time in the outdoors with a fishing rod, on horseback and hunting. These pastimes were a part of his life from the time he was a young man until the very end. Reg also enjoyed a great round of cards, picking wild berries and spending time in his awe-inspiring garden. His passion for all of these special activities has been passed down to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reg’s love for Sherrie was an example to every person who has ever crossed his path. Their marriage was always one of kindness, warmth and devotion that could not be duplicated but is worthy of a fairy tale. His entire life revolved around his family and making sure they were safe and secure.
A celebration of Reg’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Everdell Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre.
