Marchia Sharron Little
March 13, 1940 – May 11, 2017

Marchia Sharron Little, age 77 peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on May 11, 2017, in Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
Born March 13, 1940, in St. Boniface, Man., the only child to Nelson and Ruth Grapentine she was raised in Oak Bank, Man. At the age of six they moved to Los Angeles, California for her father’s employment. They returned to Manitoba four years later, then wove their way across the prairies to settle in Victoria, B.C.
On June 9, 1962, she married Fred Little and together they had five children, two of whom passed away in infancy. Marchia loved being a wife and mother and her special interests included plants, gardening, painting and playing the piano. As her children grew, she was blessed with the title of grandmother with four grandchildren whom she adored in her own special way.
Marchia is survived by her loving husband Fred Little, daughters Shelley Little, Lisa (Garth) Long, son Nelson (Monica) Little, granddaughter Kayla Rick and grandsons Anthony Little, Nicholas Little and Donald Long. Predeceased by son James B. 1964 and daughter Nancy R. 1968.
Her celebration of life memorial will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 5236 – 54 St. in Rocky Mountain House, Alta., at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
