Lorraine Elice Schroderus
1933 – 2018

Lorraine Elice Schroderus was called home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2018, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family, passing away peacefully at the Rocky Hospital.
Lorraine was the eldest of three girls born in Calgary to Raymond and Rebecca Card. Lorraine grew up in the Ferrier District until moving to Rocky in 1947. In 1948, at the age of 16, she began working for Canada Post in the Rocky office, a job she excelled at for 40 years. By the time she retired in 1988 she had made countless friends. Lorraine’s greatest joy was her family. Lorraine was proud of and cherished each and every one of them. Lorraine enjoyed her beautiful yard, which consisted of flowers and gardening, making good use of her green thumb. Lorraine loved her life with her husband Eino, they had many great times together. Lorraine and Eino were known to go dancing, camping and many motorcycle trips which included to California and British Columbia.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Eino and children Lane (Barb) Arychuk, Reece (Cindy) Arychuk, Dean (Deena) Arychuk, Don (Deb) Schroderus, Doug (Amanda) Schroderus and Cindy Varszegi; grandchildren Jenna (Brennon) Panchyshyn, Jason Arychuk, Robert (Jodi) Morgan, Jen (Trevor) Barker, Chantelle (Rick) Foesier, Monica and Aidan Arychuk, Brent (Emily) Schroderus and Scott Schroderus; great-grandchildren Brant and Kensley Panchyshyn, Hayli and Nathan Morgan, Davin and Kolby Barker, McKenna, Jaxin, Maddix and Kaiya Foesier, Erika and Drew Schroderus.
A funeral service for the late Lorraine Schroderus will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 2 p.m., at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Rocky Mountain House. A time of fellowship and refreshments will take place right after the service in the church basement.
