Alexandre Lawrence Tremblay
July 2, 1979 – May 5, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alexandre “Andy” Lawrence Tremblay at the age of 37 years. Andy will be lovingly remembered by his fiancé Kimberly “Kim” Van Gils; his beautiful daughter Kira Tremblay of Red Deer; his mother, Beverly Gail Wolf of Edmonton; his grandmother, Terri Lachance of Rocky Mountain House as well as numerous relatives and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Andre Tremblay, his uncle Ken Wolf and his grandfather, Marvin Wolf.
Andy was blessed by a beautiful singing voice and found great joy in entertaining those closest to him. He was gifted in the arts and was presently enrolled in the Master Program in Special Effects with Numa International Institute of Makeup and Design, Calgary, Alta., studying to become a special effects artist.
Andy was at peace in the west country and mountains, enjoying many days camping, fishing and being surrounded by nature.
Most recently he was excited about his and Kim’s upcoming wedding this fall, participating in every aspect of the planning and preparation. It was during their first date that they discovered their love for playing games. Among their favourites were Monopoly, Cribbage and Canasta.
A funeral service for Andy was held on Monday, May 15, 2017, in the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home. Memorial donations in Andy’s name may be made directly to the Epilepsy Association at
