Peewee Rebels fight to he finish

It was a hard-fought game for the peewee Junior Rebels football team, which hosted Stettler on Sept. 16 at Curtis Field.
Although they took a 20-8 loss, it was a close, competitive battle.
“Stettler stole the game with a final minute insurance touchdown,” said head coach Gary Maxwell. “Stettler was able to execute some long, third down conversions to sustain drives that were key to their victory.”
Even though the score doesn’t show the Rebels battle, spectators were able to witness and cheer their team on. The crowd roared every time the Rebels made a strong play or went for a few-yard run.
“The kids played hard and should be proud of their effort,” said Maxwell.
Taking a loss won’t keep the Rebels down. They will use their upcoming bye-week to relax and prepare for their next game against Olds on Sept. 30.
